About The Position

Lawrenceville Surgery Center is hiring an Insurance Verifier, Full time. Lawrenceville Surgery Center is a single-specialty ambulatory orthopedic surgery practice committed to the highest clinical and customer service standards in the industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Collections/Insurance Verifier to join our clinical team in a PRN capacity. We make no commitment to available hours or benefits. This role is ideal for someone who is seeking a flexible schedule or to complement their full time job.

Requirements

• 3-4 years previous collections/Insurance Verification experience, with emphasis on healthcare insurance collections of all types.
• Medical terminology.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Skilled in time management and prioritization of emergent situations.
• Good customer service skills, always demonstrates professionalism.
• Comfortable utilizing critical thinking skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with electronic patient information systems.

Nice To Haves

• Preference shown to previous experience in an ambulatory surgical setting.
• Prefer previous experience working with Advantx. (Patient Accounting System)

Responsibilities

• Validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system.
• Communicating with physician offices, insurance carriers, and patient follow-ups.
• Efficient collection efforts to significantly reduce days outstanding, improve cash flow, and minimize bad debt expense.
