About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is hiring a full time Insurance Verifier. This is an Onsite role at our Arlington Hospital. Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm. The Insurance Verifier will interface with patients and families, physicians and staff. They will update patient demographics/information in the system, verify insurance benefits, and obtain proper authorization from the insurance carrier. The role also involves determining what funds to collect upon admission, notifying patients of monies due, and documenting this in the billing system. Other duties as required or requested by chain of command.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years’ previous experience hospital insurance verification required.
- Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
- Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer Knowledge-Word and Excel preferred
Nice To Haves
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
