Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication
Must be computer literate
Must be able to multi-task
Strong organizational skills
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
Must be able to effectively communicate with team and with families/patients

Responsibilities

Works closely with Central Intake team.
Is the “expert” on insurance related inquiries.
Verify commercial insurance benefits when needed, concurrently with the influx of new referrals
Audit all new admission charts for multiple sites.
Audits and verifies correct Notice of Election information entry and communicates with billing department.
Verify all patient information is correct, change information as it is identified as having been incorrect
Communicate closely with Central Intake department, location business offices and corporate billing department.
Validate and confirm entry of Medicaid, Medi-Cal and Medicaid Room and Board.
Pinpoints potential areas of compliance exposure and risk of non-payment.
Supports confidentiality policies including company policies, HIPAA, etc
Re-verify all payer information for multiple sites at the beginning of a new year and communicate liability to families/patient.
Participates in department quality initiatives.
Other duties as assigned
