About The Position

As an Insurance Service Representative VII, you will provide expert advice and personalized service to members seeking personal lines and AutoPlan insurance products, ensuring a seamless and efficient client experience. You will prepare quotes, support both new and existing clients, and actively contribute to business growth through cross-selling and referrals. This role plays a key part in delivering community-focused insurance solutions that balance profitability with member well-being, and we’re looking for a client-focused professional with strong communication skills and a sales mindset who thrives in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. This is a Part-time, Permanent role based at our Chieftain Centre Community Branch (Branch 81) and will report directly to the Manager, Squamish Insurance.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or diploma in a related discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in insurance services, sales, or a related client-facing environment
  • Foundational knowledge of insurance underwriting processes
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, services, and industry practices
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support member needs
  • Experience working with policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AutoPlan or ICBC transactions
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in an insurance or financial services environment
  • Familiarity with credit union products or member-based service models

Responsibilities

  • Preparing quotes and providing advice on personal lines and AutoPlan insurance products for new and existing clients
  • Supporting members with insurance inquiries while delivering efficient and high-quality service
  • Cross-selling additional insurance products and services to grow agency business
  • Referring members to appropriate products and services through internal referral systems
  • Managing administrative tasks such as processing ICBC transactions, deposits, and documentation
  • Maintaining organized insurance and office supplies and supporting day-to-day branch operations
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and established service standards
