About The Position

LMCU is looking for an Insurance Sales Representative to support and grow our insurance agency by developing relationships with prospective and existing clients, primarily serving commercial insurance customers. This role partners closely with local LMCU branch teams, networking contacts, and internal partners to position LMCU Insurance as a trusted advisor while generating new business and maintaining strong client relationships. This is a fully on-site position, requiring in-person collaboration with branch staff, clients, and community partners.

Requirements

  • One to three years of similar or related sales experience, including preparatory experience; insurance or financial services experience preferred.
  • College degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Attendance at sales-related seminars or training programs is a plus.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to prospect, network, and convert leads into long-term clients.
  • Professional, confident communication skills with the ability to explain insurance concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with agency management systems; AMS360 experience preferred.
  • Ability to work closely with branch teams, managers, and internal partners to drive shared success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with prospective customers through self-generated leads and referrals from local LMCU branches.
  • Network with local professionals and collaborate with the marketing team to generate new business opportunities and leads.
  • Establish LMCU Insurance as a trusted advisor by educating clients on insurance solutions and value-added services.
  • Prepare and present insurance proposals that clearly communicate the LMCU/LMIA value proposition.
  • Act as the primary insurance contact for assigned local LMCU branch offices, supporting both new and existing client needs.
  • Maintain and grow the current customer base by providing top-notch service and ongoing relationship management.
