Westland Insurance Group is growing and has an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Advisor to work within MyGroup in Ontario. This is a fully remote position. We are looking for a career-minded individual who is focused on growing their insurance industry knowledge and experience. We are open to accepting applicants from other provinces with a valid RIBO license and willingness to work in the Eastern Time Zone. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years RIBO license
  • Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance products and underwriting principles
  • Effective team collaborator who supports peers and contributes to team success
  • Building authentic client relationships comes naturally
  • Master time manager who can prioritize workload while demonstrating confidentiality and discretion
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to meet production targets while working independently
  • Experience using insurer portals and related systems
  • At least 3 years of industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Promote and educate clients on insurance products.
  • Take ownership of client relationships.
  • Help grow our presence and profile in the local community.
  • Manage more complex insurance cases.
  • Help team members reach their potential.
  • Work with clients to uncover their insurance needs, identify opportunities, and provide recommendations based on knowledge of coverage and underwriting principles.
  • Practice excellent customer service and prioritize client relationship management by actively listening to queries and concerns.
  • Develop new business through cross-selling, upselling, referrals, and securing ex-dates.
  • Review renewals on a timely basis while maintaining strong retention levels.
  • Process policy changes and endorsements accurately through various company portals.
  • Support clients through the claims process while communicating accurate information to claims teams.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team to reach organizational goals.
