About The Position
ALPA Insurance is hiring an in-office Insurance Sales Agent in Killeen, Texas. The agent helps customers with insurance needs, including new and existing policies, payments, renewals, reinstatements, and questions. The role combines customer service, sales, marketing, vehicle inspection, and administrative work. The ideal candidate has a strong sales mentality, a desire to succeed, organizational and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer focus. ALPA provides intensive paid training, licensing assistance, and ongoing career support. Compensation includes hourly pay plus uncapped commission, paid weekly. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
- Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company and proprietary software.
- Strong sales mentality, organizational and interpersonal skills, and a strong customer focus.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service or insurance sales experience; preferred but not required.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English; preferred but not required.
- A valid, current Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license; highly preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with new insurance policies, policy changes, payments, renewals, reinstatements, and questions.
- Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
- Seek new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
- Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
- Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
- Complete continuing education courses required to maintain an active license with TDI.
