About The Position

The Marketing/Placement Coordinator is responsible for marketing and placement activities for mid-size, moderately complex commercial P&C accounts. This role partners with Producers, Account Executives, and Account Managers to gather underwriting information, market accounts to carriers, review quotes, and support the delivery of competitive and complete insurance proposals.

Requirements

  • Property & Casualty (P&C) license acquired upon hire or to be obtained within 90 days of employment
  • 2+ years of insurance industry experience, required
  • Worked in client facing insurance roles (Account Manager, CSR, etc.) and are familiar with the process of managing an account through renewal or initial binding, required
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, build meaningful connections, and calmly de-escalate situations of frustration
  • Strong and unwavering commitment to client confidentiality
  • Client-first mentality and are committed to excellence, integrity, and professionalism
  • Maintain positive and ethical relations with all professional contacts
  • Demonstrate commitment to maintaining industry knowledge, including staying up to date on latest trends and changes

Responsibilities

  • Manage new business and renewal marketing for mid-size, moderately complex accounts.
  • Pre-qualify risks and determine appropriate carrier markets, in partnership with the Sr. Marketing Coordinator.
  • Partner with Producers and Account Managers to gather information for applications and underwriting information.
  • Prepare and submit applications and supporting documentation (and/or online rating submissions) to carriers.
  • Ensure all proper documentation and steps are taken in the agency's CRM (client management system), Applied EPIC.
  • Manage carrier follow-up to ensure timely responses and quote turnaround.
  • Review quotes for accuracy, coverage, and competitiveness.
  • Work with Producers to determine recommended quote options for presentation.
  • Provide finalized quotes to Account Managers for secondary review and presentation preparation.
  • Maintain organized marketing documentation and carrier correspondence.
  • Build and maintain professional carrier relationships.
  • Stay informed on carrier appetites, market trends, and coverage changes.
  • Ensure compliance with agency standards and carrier requirements.
  • Act as an agency ambassador by identifying opportunities to refer clients or prospects to other departments and services outside of your direct role.
