About The Position

Reynolds Parrino Shadwick, P.A., an AV-rated insurance defense firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Auto Injury Litigation team. The role focuses on defending first-party and third-party auto injury claims on behalf of major insurance carriers. The firm seeks an experienced attorney but will consider exceptional entry-level candidates with outstanding academic credentials or meaningful courtroom experience as an Assistant State Attorney or Public Defender. Prior insurance defense or personal injury litigation experience is a plus but is not required. Based in St. Petersburg, the office offers attorneys an opportunity to expand their skills and advance in the insurance defense field.

Requirements

Excellent legal research and writing skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Experienced attorney; exceptional entry-level candidates may be considered if they have outstanding academic credentials or meaningful courtroom experience as an Assistant State Attorney or Public Defender.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in insurance defense or personal injury litigation.
Familiarity with Florida civil procedure and auto injury litigation.
Proficiency in Westlaw, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

Litigate auto injury claims from inception through trial.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
Take and defend depositions, including depositions of medical experts and treating physicians.
Argue motions and attend court hearings.
Collaborate with clients, adjusters, and senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
