About The Position

An established Michigan litigation firm focused on insurance defense is seeking an Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join its team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The attorney will independently manage no-fault and other insurance defense matters from intake through resolution, building to approximately 50–60 files when fully up to speed. The role includes a growing volume of Special Investigations Unit (SIU) cases and requires readiness to take cases to trial when needed. The position offers a base salary of $140,000–$170,000, depending on experience, with quarterly production bonuses for billable hours above 1,850 annually. Strong performers may earn total compensation around $200,000. The firm expects high-quality work while respecting time outside work. Attorneys work in the Farmington Hills office during an initial period, after which they can set their own hybrid schedule. Time off is flexible, typically about four weeks, and attorneys who develop their own adjuster relationships and referrals have a path to partnership. Relocation assistance may be negotiated for candidates elsewhere in Michigan.
