About The Position
The Seattle, Washington office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Insurance Coverage and General Liability Practice. The role focuses on insurance coverage and liability defense and offers sophisticated work, meaningful responsibility, mentorship, hands-on experience, and opportunities for long-term professional growth within a nationally recognized litigation platform. The practice handles high-exposure, complex matters, including catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and sophisticated commercial litigation. The firm’s General Liability Practice includes more than 600 attorneys nationwide, and its partners and senior associates have extensive trial experience.
Requirements
- Three to seven years of experience.
- Admission to the Washington State Bar is required.
- Experience across all phases of litigation, including case management, motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior insurance law experience is preferred.
- Exposure to arbitrations and trial work is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Analyze insurance coverage issues and draft well-reasoned coverage opinions involving first-party property and general liability policies.
- Handle all phases of litigation, including case management, motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
