About The Position

The Miami, Florida office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice. The practice interprets insurance contracts and represents insurers in complex coverage claims, including monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. The firm represents primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third-party administrators, managing general agents, insurance brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies, across virtually every line of business. The firm is interested in candidates with insurance law experience as well as developing attorneys with strong litigation skills, a demonstrated interest in insurance law, and an interest in joining a growing, collaborative firm.

Requirements

Two to seven years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions regarding first-party property and general liability matters.
Litigation experience, including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions.
Federal court experience.
Admission to the Florida Bar.
