About The Position

Claremont Insurance Brokers is seeking a full-time Insurance Broker to join their Personal Lines department. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor and advocate for clients, managing renewals, assessing risks, recommending coverage, providing claims advice, and pursuing new business opportunities through referrals, cross-selling, and up-selling. The position involves providing excellent client service, processing policy changes, conducting risk assessments, liaising with carriers, remarketing policies, handling claims, and maintaining accurate data entry. You will also stay updated on industry products and guidelines, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Requirements

  • Active RIBO license
  • Experience servicing a personal lines book of business within a brokerage environment
  • Strong relationship‑building, communication, and client service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Solid understanding of personal lines insurance products and underwriting fundamentals
  • Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Applied EPIC is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, professional, and knowledgeable service to personal lines clients, carriers, and internal team members
  • Prepare and process quotes, new business, renewals, endorsements, and policy changes
  • Review underwriting information and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct detailed risk assessments and recommend appropriate coverage solutions tailored to client needs
  • Act as the primary liaison between clients and insurance carriers
  • Identify and act on cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities when appropriate
  • Remarket personal lines policies to ensure competitive coverage and pricing
  • Take and submit new claim reports and support clients through the claims process with timely follow‑up
  • Maintain proactive oversight of client accounts, resolving outstanding items efficiently
  • Ensure accurate data entry in carrier portals and the broker management system (Applied EPIC)
  • Stay current on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and market changes
  • Contribute to a positive, customer‑first culture within the team
