About The Position

Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for an Insurance Billing Representative at their Kaysville Business Office. This role is responsible for resolving all insurance claims issues, including those that are paid incorrectly or remain unpaid. The representative will work proactively with various parties such as patients, physicians, coders, and payees. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• A general understanding of medical billing and processing
• Basic computer knowledge & internet proficient and keyboarding proficiency.
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9, ICD-10 and other coding values
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
• Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Related work experience preferred.
• A general understanding of medical billing and processing
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS and ICD-9, ICD-10 and other coding values is preferred
• A general understanding of basic medical terminology is preferred
