About The Position

The Medical Billing/Insurance Representative is responsible for the Accuracy, Quality, and Timeliness of certain billable services processed by the Company. This role involves direct customer billing, processing Medicare and private insurance claims, and resolving billing adjustment requests. The representative will also generate reports and complete assignments as directed by management.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year experience with medical billing and coding and understanding of Medicare/Insurance billing procedures.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Proficient in navigating and utilizing both web portals and online databases to manage and review billing data and patient records.
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must pass a national criminal background check.
• Must not be listed on United States OIG Exclusion List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment language and usage.

Responsibilities

• Billing/Invoicing Facilities, Home Care, and Hospices for Services Rendered.
• Assisting in direct customer billing, as well as processing and billing Medicare and private insurance claims (i.e., Medicare/Insurance Verification, CMN, Doctor’s Order’s, Claims Denials, etc.).
• Interfacing with customers, patients, and company personnel to discuss, evaluate, process, and resolve billing adjustment requests, both independently and cooperatively with the Billing Team.
• Generating reports and completing assignments as assigned by the Billing Manager and Billing Lead.
