About The Position

Colliers Mortgage is seeking a driven, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Analyst to support its internal Escrow Department. The role offers an opportunity to enter the commercial real estate and/or commercial insurance industry. The analyst will build cross-functional relationships, correspond with commercial mortgage clients, work with external insurance agents and brokers, and collaborate with Loan Origination and Servicing teams. This is a full-time, in-office position three days a week, Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Requirements

At least one year of office experience, or an associate degree or higher.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, financial documents, or governmental regulations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies in available data.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Driven, innovative team player focused on results and delivering superior work.

Nice To Haves

Commercial Property and Casualty insurance and/or servicing experience or training.

Responsibilities

Conduct periodic reviews of commercial loan documents and insurance coverage to ensure compliance with lender servicing requirements.
Request revisions to insurance policies from insurance agents and brokers, with diligent follow-up to ensure loan compliance.
Communicate and make recommendations to lenders to resolve non-compliance issues.
Review monthly reports to effectively manage the loan portfolio.
Certify compliance with lender requirements to lenders as required.
Educate borrowers on loan-specific insurance requirements.
Perform other assigned duties.
