About The Position

Shelter Insurance is seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to become a Shelter Insurance Agent in Troy, MO. This opportunity is for individuals who desire to meet new people, develop contacts, become known in their community, and are passionate about serving it. The role offers a chance to grow sales, business, and networking skills, control one's own income, and start a business without extreme start-up costs. Shelter does not require previous insurance industry experience, with many new agents coming from diverse backgrounds like real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching. What is required is a motivated attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, and effective communication skills in a sales environment. While sales experience and a degree with general business courses are helpful, Shelter provides in-house and virtual new agent training schools, along with continuing industry education. Prospective agents are not required to have capital or assets on hand, as Shelter provides the opportunity without selling agencies or loaning money. The only expectations are meeting sufficient sales requirements and core business proficiencies. Financial responsibilities upon departure are limited to unsatisfied bills. The main focus will be developing prospects and selling Shelter products, with the potential to hire staff for administrative duties and sales improvement.
