About The Position

Shelter Insurance is seeking an exceptional entrepreneur to become our newest Shelter Insurance Agent in Wadsworth, OH. This role is ideal for individuals with a desire to meet new people, develop new contacts, become known in their community, and are passionate about serving their community. If you want to grow your sales, business, and networking skills, control your own income, and have always wanted to start your own business without extreme start-up costs, this opportunity is for you. Shelter does not require previous insurance industry experience; backgrounds in real estate, retail sales, education, and coaching are common among successful agents. A motivated attitude, an entrepreneurial spirit, and skilled capacity for effectively communicating with clients in a sales atmosphere are required. While sales experience and a degree with general business courses are helpful, comprehensive training is provided. Shelter does not require prospective agents to have capital/assets on hand, nor do they "sell" or "loan" money to agents to begin their business. The primary expectations are meeting sufficient sales requirements and core business proficiencies. A true business owner’s mindset is required to succeed. Agents may have the opportunity to bring on staff for administrative duties and sales support.
