About The Position

NEXT is seeking a bright, motivated, and driven Insurance Advisor to help deliver its mission of helping entrepreneurs thrive through technology-led small business insurance. In this fast-paced and collaborative role, you will provide customers with timely, quality service by reviewing and troubleshooting their needs and helping manage their insurance policies. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing business and participate in projects that address pressing customer and business needs. The position is based in Rochester, New York, and is hybrid.

Requirements

1–2 years of experience working in customer service.
Strong attention to detail when handling customer and policy information.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support customer needs, solve problems, answer questions, and create a positive impression.

Nice To Haves

Property & Casualty Insurance License.
A strong process orientation and interest in finding better ways to work.
Adaptability and comfort working on multiple tasks in a fast-changing environment.
Experience and comfort using software tools such as Excel, G Suite, policy management systems, and accounting systems.
Bilingual Spanish.

Responsibilities

Issue insurance certificates, process policy changes, assist with process improvement, and support the pay-as-you-go insurance program.
Assist customers, prospects, and partner agents with questions and concerns and help them find appropriate business insurance coverage.
Provide outstanding customer service and support.
Provide customers with quotes for various insurance policies.
Work with partners to resolve customer concerns in a timely manner.
Drive or participate in ad hoc projects addressing business needs, including translating internal customer account portals and Terms and Conditions, shadowing new agents during training, and meeting with Product teams to understand customer needs.
