About The Position

BCAA is seeking an Insurance Advisor or Senior Insurance Advisor for their Vernon Service Location. This role involves building strong client relationships by helping customers select appropriate insurance products and services. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver, adaptable, and a team player committed to providing excellent customer experiences. Requirements

  • At least 1 to 2 consecutive years of general insurance experience, including one year of experience selling homeowners insurance.
  • Level 1 (Insurance Advisor) or 2 (Senior Insurance Advisor) Insurance license.
  • Completion of Autoplan Essentials.
  • Limited history of Errors & Omissions and in good standing with the Insurance Council of BC.
  • Comfortable using technology, including basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • CAIB certification
  • Experience using ICBC systems
  • Ability to speak other languages aside from English.

Responsibilities

  • Independently issue BCAA insurance products and services to current and new customers to meet their needs.
  • Review current coverage and make recommendations to help customers secure and/or renew their policies.
  • Collaborate with BCAA Support Teams and Underwriting to assess and recommend the right coverage for customers.
  • Achieve sales and productivity goals while upholding BCAA and AAA/CAA Member experience goals and underwriting guidelines.
  • Lead customer accounts and documentation, including processing payments and issuing new policies, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations for Insurance policies, BCAA Memberships, and additional products and services.
  • Increase industry knowledge and expertise towards becoming a team lead or people leader.
  • Participate in BCAA’s training courses, maintain annual licensing requirements, and stay updated with the latest processes, products, and service offerings in the insurance industry.
