About The Position
The Derek Stein Agency is growing and seeking a Licensed Insurance Account Manager to join their Personal Lines team in Wolverine Lake, Michigan. This role is suited for an individual who excels in a team setting, enjoys problem-solving, and is dedicated to providing clients with a smooth experience. The Account Manager will assist with both new and existing personal lines accounts, collaborate with the sales team, and act as a reliable point of contact throughout the client's journey with the agency.
Requirements
- Active Michigan Property & Casualty License is REQUIRED
- 2+ years of experience in personal lines account management, underwriting, or a related insurance client service role
- Experience working with carrier quoting platforms and agency management systems
- Strong knowledge of personal insurance products, including auto, homeowners, renters, and umbrella policies
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency with multiple computer systems and software applications
Responsibilities
- Manage and service a portfolio of personal lines clients
- Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and billing inquiries
- Quote and rate insurance policies accurately and efficiently
- Partner with the sales team to support new business opportunities
- Build lasting client relationships through proactive communication and outstanding service
- Assess clients' evolving insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions
- Contribute to client retention efforts by delivering a positive and professional customer experience
