About The Position

This position involves performing industrial insulation tasks. A significant aspect of the role includes potential work with asbestos abatement activities, such as removal, repair, encapsulation, or handling of asbestos-containing materials. Employees will receive necessary training and qualifications from Zachry for asbestos-related work. The job emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to site-specific requirements.

Requirements

Pass a DISA background check
Pass a drug test
Have a valid driver's license
Ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions.
Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work in industrial environments and follow all safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

Industrial insulation experience preferred.
NCCER Industrial Insulator certification preferred but not required based on experience.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
Measure, cut, fit, and install insulation materials on piping, equipment, and vessels.
Select appropriate insulation materials based on application and operating conditions.
Install and secure insulation using adhesives, fasteners, sealants, tape, and protective coverings.
Fabricate and install metal jacketing and weatherproofing materials.
Remove and replace existing insulation as needed.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
Follow all site safety requirements and hazardous material handling procedures.
Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and with high-quality workmanship.
Perform asbestos abatement activities including removal, repair, encapsulation, or handling of asbestos-containing materials, following all applicable safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
