About The Position
Workers will learn the rules and regulations of the mechanical insulation and firestopping industries. The individuals will learn to read blueprints, UL systems & codes, as well as install the materials with tools of the trade. Workers must be a member in good standing with the Union, Local 132 of the International Association of Heat & Frost Insulators & Allied Workers (AFL-CIO). Workers must be current with all dues & membership fees.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School degree or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and understand common construction documents and blueprints.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Basic written and oral communication skills required.
- Must be a member in good standing with the Union, Local 132 of the International Association of Heat & Frost Insulators & Allied Workers (AFL-CIO).
- Must be current with all dues & membership fees.
Responsibilities
- Removes/Installs thermal/acoustical insulation and firestopping materials per plans, specifications, and other relevant documents.
- Attends jobsite, company, and other meetings, as required.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational and professional development opportunities.
