Insulation Truck Driver
About The Position
The Insulation Driver supports the Toronto Insulation team by ensuring materials, tools, and fabricated components are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. They help keep projects moving by maintaining organized inventory, preparing job sites, and supporting field teams with reliable communication and coordination. Success in this role means predictable material flow, safe operations, and strong support for our forepersons and installers. The Insulation Driver plays a critical role in keeping our field teams productive and our projects on schedule. Their reliability directly impacts job readiness, material availability, and overall project efficiency. By maintaining safe driving practices, organized inventory, and strong communication, this role strengthens our operational excellence and supports Modern Niagara’s commitment to quality and safety.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Strong communication skills with suppliers, forepersons, and supervisors
- Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Commitment to safe work practices
Nice To Haves
- Experience in construction, insulation, or material handling
- Basic fabrication experience (metal, PVC)
- Knowledge of inventory management systems
- Familiarity with insulation materials
Responsibilities
- Complete material pickups and deliveries on time; communicate proactively when schedules need adjustment.
- Coordinate with Insulation Forepersons to ensure all required materials and tools are available on site.
- Maintain a live Excel inventory sheet for field teams to reference before ordering from suppliers.
- Set up and clean off job sites across the Toronto region.
- Fabricate cut and rolled metal, end caps, and cut and rolled PVC as needed.
- Operate common insulation shop tools safely and effectively.
- Follow all road regulations and Modern Niagara health and safety policies.
- Report hazards and maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
- Provide feedback to forepersons on scheduling, resource needs, and challenges.
