F.F. Hitchcock Company is hiring a skilled, experienced full-time Insulation and Weatherization Lead to guide dynamic projects from beginning to end. Based in Cheshire, CT, you'll install insulation in customers' attics and crawlspaces and ensure their homes stay comfortable year-round. Requirements

  • Professional insulation or weatherization experience, including attic work, dense-pack, and air sealing
  • Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the ability to travel throughout central CT and Greater New Haven County
  • Comfort with wearing a respirator while working in attics and crawlspaces in all seasons/temperatures
  • EPA Lead-Safe RRP and BPI Building Analyst certifications or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience running a two-person crew (or larger)
  • Experience working with spray foam or blower doors
  • Familiarity with CT utility weatherization programs and documentation requirements

Responsibilities

  • Install insulation in customers' attics and crawlspaces.
  • Ensure homes stay comfortable year-round.
  • Lead a two-person crew.
  • Accurately install attic and wall insulation, dense-pack, air sealing, knee walls, ventilation, and more.
  • Accurately set up jobs, run the machine, and hit the exact sold density and R-value.
  • Train the support technician on best work practices and customer service standards.
  • Professionally engage with clients.
  • Openly communicate throughout the job.
  • Maintain job documents and photos.
