About The Position

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Tech I to support instrumentation and electrical operations in the field. This position is responsible for assisting with instrumentation tasks, tubing installation, safety device preparation, and basic troubleshooting under the direction of supervisors, foremen, or experienced technicians. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong safety awareness, teamwork, and the ability to perform quality workmanship in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of instrumentation experience preferred.
  • Completion of instrumentation and electrical training programs or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Knowledge of proper installation and makeup of compression fittings.
  • T-2 or Production Safety System coursework preferred.
  • Basic carpentry skills.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation tubing installation techniques.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions from supervisors and experienced coworkers.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and maintain a professional attitude.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
  • Commitment to performing quality workmanship at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of three (3) years of instrumentation experience preferred.
  • T-2 or Production Safety System coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and utilize proper PPE for assigned job tasks.
  • Assist with instrumentation and electrical tasks as directed by supervisors or senior technicians.
  • Use basic hand and power tools including tape measures, drills, band saws, and tubing benders.
  • Fabricate tubing trays and tubing tray clips with accuracy and quality.
  • Install instrumentation tubing according to project requirements and specifications.
  • Prepare safety devices using proper instrumentation fittings and components.
  • Perform safety testing of connected devices and systems.
  • Conduct minor troubleshooting of safety systems and instrumentation equipment.
  • Maintain effective communication and teamwork with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Understand and apply basic instrumentation terminology and procedures.
  • Make minor decisions regarding tray and tubing routing as needed in the field.
