About The Position

Coordination and oversight of daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments to facilitate efficient case flow, through efficient case cart assembly and decontamination, assembly and sterilization/high level disinfection of all reprocessed surgical inventory. Responsible for assisting in projects and process improvement. Promotes customer service and patient satisfaction through effective communication with Operating Room clinical operations and multiple sterile processing departments across the Medical Center. Also responsible for ordering, procuring and organizing instrument trays on a global level to service the entire Enterprise.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician certification (CSPDT) issued through The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required upon hire or must obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • 1 year of relevant experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification or vocational training may be preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
