About The Position
The Boeing Company is looking for an Instrumentation and Data Systems (I&DS) Manager to join our F/A-18 Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team in Patuxent River, MD. This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership"
- Experience in a management and/or team lead role in an engineering and/or test environment
- General knowledge of instrumentation, data systems and data processing
- U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance eligibility
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.
Nice To Haves
- Have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
- Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts
- Experience working in a Flight Test environment
- Experience working with Navy/Government customers
- Experience working with flight test instrumentation and data systems
- Experience working with data processing
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals
- Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manage, develop and motivate employees
