About The Position

This position is for EMU263H1 - Instrumental Flute, an introductory study of the flute. The class is scheduled for Wednesdays from 12 PM to 1 PM during the Winter term, with the contract running from January to April 2027. The estimated course enrollment is 14 students, and there is no TA support. The salary for this position is $3,399.14.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in music education, music performance or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience teaching flute to beginners in a school, private lesson or class setting
  • Extensive knowledge of pedagogy, methods and repertoire for student flute performers
  • Demonstrated excellence teaching flute pedagogy at the university level

Nice To Haves

  • Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II and Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12.
