About The Position

Instrument Fitters will work with both electrical and piping systems to install the required tubing and instruments for the system to be measured and/or controlled. This role involves reading prints and P&IDs, installing instrumentation, calibrating instruments, and fabricating piping and tubing according to specifications. Assistance may be needed with installing pipe, tubing, and related components.

Requirements

• Instrumentation NCCER certification.
• 4+ years of experience in instrumentation or equivalent knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and P&IDs.
• Experience working with low and high-pressure tubing/piping systems.
• Possession of necessary tools.
• Ability to work with precision instruments and tools.
• Willingness to follow all company and project work policies and procedures.
• Required to have all journeymen tools and experience with associated power tools.
• Ability to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install primary piping and tubing.
• Ability to check performance using testing and measuring instruments and make necessary adjustments.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Willingness to assist in any additional qualified duties assigned.

Nice To Haves

• Current, ROF'ed, or Former Employee.
• Formal education or vocational training.
• Experience in instrumentation on a new construction facility.

Responsibilities

• Read prints and P&IDs to interpret work, required equipment, and tools.
• Install instrumentation within piping systems for proper function, control, and monitoring.
• Calibrate instrumentation and adjust installed electrical and piping components using precision tools.
• Install, manipulate, and fabricate piping and tubing according to specifications.
• Assist in other duties including installing pipe, tubing, and piping/tubing components.
