About The Position

This position involves working with both electrical and piping systems to install the required tubing and instruments for systems that need to be measured and/or controlled. The role requires interpreting prints and P&IDs, installing instrumentation, calibrating instruments, and fabricating piping and tubing according to specifications. Assistance with other duties, such as installing pipe, tubing, and related components, may also be required.

Requirements

• Instrumentation NCCER certification
• 4+ years of experience in instrumentation or equivalent knowledge
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to work on low and high-pressure tubing/piping systems
• Possession of necessary tools
• Ability to work with precision instruments and tools
• Willingness to follow all company and project work policies and procedures
• Ability to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install primary piping and tubing
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs
• Ability to check performance using testing and measuring instruments and make necessary adjustments
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Willingness to follow all company and project policies, rules, and guidelines
• Willingness to assist in any additional qualified duties assigned

Nice To Haves

• Current, ROF’ed, or Former Employee
• Formal education or vocational training
• Experience in instrumentation on a new construction facility

Responsibilities

• Read prints and P&IDs to interpret work, required equipment, and tools.
• Work with piping systems to install instrumentation for proper system function, control, and monitoring.
• Use precision tools to calibrate instrumentation and adjust installed electrical and piping components.
• Install, manipulate, and fabricate piping and tubing according to specifications.
• Assist in other duties including installing pipe, tubing, and piping/tubing components.
