About The Position
Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Instrument Fitter for a project in Wilmington, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.
Requirements
- 2-3 years related experience
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
- Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
- Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
Responsibilities
- Interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), isometric layouts, and hook-up drawings to determine specifications.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install small-bore tubing (like stainless steel or copper) and piping for pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Mount and secure field instruments such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, valves, and gauges using specialized brackets and stands.
- Conduct pressure and leak tests on tube and pipe installations, ensuring signal integrity, zero leaks, and overall calibration to meet project standards.
- Build and install tube trays, junction boxes, and multi-tubing bundles.
