About The Position

Performs routine electronic and/or mechanical assembly operations on instruments, components, and subassemblies. Uses schematics, wiring lists, and written instructions to assemble, modify, rework, and/or reassemble units. Executes tasks including receipt and verification of materials, calibration and operation of equipment, assembly of components and kits, and completing required documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP). This job family applies to instrument assembly, consumables assembly, packaging and injection molding.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 1+ years related experience in instrument/manufacturing assembly or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years experience operating manual, semi-auto, and automatic production machinery, preferred.
  • 1+ years SAP transaction experience, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine electronic and/or mechanical assembly operations on components and subassemblies using schematics, wiring lists, and written/verbal instructions.
  • Performs basic manufacturing tasks and maintenance of semi-automatic and/or automated assembly equipment and tools for instruments.
  • Performs calibration verification and operation of assembly equipment; executes dispensing or packaging of dry and/or wet products and assembly of components and kits.
  • Performs routine quality and performance testing on components and assemblies using precision measuring instruments; performs in-line quality inspection to confirm specifications are met.
  • Verifies required materials against the assembly procedure, prepares work area, and performs line clearance prior to assembly operations.
  • Completes required documentation accurately and timely following Good Documentation Practices (GDP); completes and maintains quality records.
  • Strictly follows work instructions, SOPs, and PPE procedures to execute assembly tasks safely and accurately.
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP/Quality Systems), complies with 5S requirements, and ensures proper disposal of scrap and waste.
  • Operates motorized and non-motorized equipment to move materials and supplies; monitors and maintains inventory at work areas.
  • Cross-trains on 1-2 production lines; keeps supervisor appraised of any abnormal assembly or production issues.
  • Performs Cycle-counts as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
