About The Position

The Business Program at OSU-Cascades in Bend, Oregon, invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track Instructor positions for the 2026/2027 academic year. Appointments may be full-time or part-time, teaching on a term-by-term basis. Some appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position annually at the discretion of the Dean of Academic Affairs. Applications will be considered as opportunities arise throughout the academic year.

The program provides undergraduate education across standard fields of business. Instructors foster critical thinking and advance students’ knowledge and skills through teaching courses in the discipline, providing students with an intellectual foundation. Courses serve students in degree programs. Appointments are based in Bend, Oregon, with anticipated start dates of December 16 or March 16. The anticipated appointment period is December 16, 2026, through June 15, 2027.

The work schedule may vary depending on student needs and participation in campus or program activities. Salary is commensurate with skills, education, and experience. Requirements

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.

• PhD or terminal degree in one of the listed fields or a related field.
• College- or university-level teaching experience.
• Strong commitment to undergraduate education, equity, and service to students.
• Demonstrated ability to design, teach, and assess courses that support inclusive learning principles and promote equitable teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses term-by-term in General Business Administration and/or Management.
• Complete course assessment processes and continuously improve teaching effectiveness.
• Participate in advising and mentoring students.
• Advise students, be available for office hours, complete record-keeping, and perform minor administrative tasks.
