About The Position

This position is eligible for remote work outside of California. The pay range listed represents the pay scale for California-based employees. For employees working outside of California, the pay range may be adjusted based on the employee's work location. Where location-based adjustments apply, compensation can be up to 20% lower than the posted range. Job Summary: The Instructor's responsibility encompasses education, research, and/or service. Demonstrates loyalty to the mission, policies, standards, and regulations of his/her department, school, and the University, and follows the administrative policies set up by the University and the individual school. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

• A baccalaureate or higher from an accredited institution, registration and/or licensure.
• A demonstrated interest in clinical or classroom teaching.
• Two or more years of professional clinical practice and/or classroom teaching experience.
• Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations.
• Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner.
• Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position as well as Canvas and Banner.
• Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
• Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
• Professional certification, licensure or registration as appropriate.
