About The Position

Rikert Nordic Ski School is seeking an Instructor for the 26-27 season. This role involves teaching Nordic ski lessons to guests of all ages and abilities, serving as a Mountain Ambassador, and potentially teaching snowshoeing and fat biking. The instructor will work as part of a team dedicated to creating a positive learning environment and will cooperate with other Rikert departments, assisting as needed. The position also includes performing other operational duties of the Outdoor Center as directed by the Director.

Requirements

• Ability to Nordic ski proficiently
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to adapt to situations
• Ability to connect with people and understand group dynamics
• Knowledge of the safety procedures for missing or injured students and guests
• 21 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching Nordic skiing preferred

• PSIA certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Teach Nordic ski lessons to guests of all ages and abilities.
• Serve as Mountain Ambassador - welcoming, assisting and directing guests.
• Teach snowshoeing and Fat biking per experience and ability.
• Work as part of a team dedicated to creating the best possible environment for taking and teaching a lesson.
• Work cooperatively with all Rikert departments. Be prepared to assist other departments as needed.
• Perform other operational duties of the Outdoor Center as seen fit by the Director.
