About The Position

Brock University is seeking to fill an existing vacancy for an Instructor for the course COMM 3P91: Information Technology: Policies and Issues for the Winter D3 term. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The compensation for a half course is $7,253.48 and for a full course is $14,506.95, effective September 1, 2023. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab. Duties include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time such as lecture preparation, student consultation, marking, grading, course administration, grade appeals, and handling cases of academic dishonesty, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

• A PhD in Communication Studies
• Demonstrated expertise in the areas of historical and contemporary information policy
• Demonstrated teaching competence at the University or College level

Responsibilities
