About The Position

The University of Tennessee Health Sciences, Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology, seeks a full-time non-tenure track Instructor.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Engineering, Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences, or a related scientific field.
  • Research experience in Neuroscience or a related biomedical field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mouse behavioral experiments, histology, microscopy, and quantitative data analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct behavioral neuroscience experiments using mouse models, including touchscreen-based cognitive behavioral testing.
  • Perform histological and molecular experiments, including tissue collection, cryostat sectioning, immunohistochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and maintain experimental data.
  • Assist with the development and optimization of experimental protocols.
  • Contributes to the preparation of scientific presentations, manuscripts, and research reports.
  • Assist with laboratory operations and the training of students and other laboratory personnel as appropriate.
