About The Position

The University of Tennessee Health Sciences is seeking a part-time non-tenure Open Rank Instructor to Professor in Neurology. Academic rank is based on academic credentials. The position involves collaboration with clinical faculty to build resources for their clinical practice and research programs, supervision of social work interns, education of residents/fellows on the scope of social work in neurology, and support for the department's goal of obtaining center of excellence status in subspecialty programs. The role also includes research in chronic illness in Neurology and advocating for state or foundation-level funding.

Responsibilities

• Collaboration with clinical faculty to build resources for their clinical practice and research program.
• Supervise the interns in the social work program who are working with our faculty.
• Educate the residents/ fellows in scope of work of social work in neurology.
• Support the department to obtain center of excellence in the subspecialty program.
• Research in chronic illness in Neurology and advocate to a obtain state or foundation-level funding.
