GBCC Non-Credit Instructor - SolidWorks and 3D Printing

Community College System of New Hampshire•Portsmouth, NH

About The Position

Great Bay Community College seeks a qualified contract faculty instructor to teach three non-credit courses: NCBM 105—Part Design in SolidWorks, NCBM 106—Assemblies in SolidWorks, and NCBM 107—Design Communication in SolidWorks. The courses provide an introduction to SolidWorks CAD software for engineering, product design, and manufacturing applications. The instructor will guide students through 3D modeling, part design, assembly creation, technical drawing, and design-for-manufacturing principles to prepare them for careers in automated manufacturing, engineering design, and related fields. Instruction includes a blend of lecture, discussion, and hands-on lab activities, scheduled for two theory hours and three lab hours weekly. The instructor will develop project-based assignments and design reviews, administer learning activities and assessments, provide feedback, evaluate student progress against course objectives, maintain records and grades, and ensure lab safety, particularly when 3D printers or shop equipment are used. The position reports to the Director of Workforce Development. CCSNH employment eligibility requires residency in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island.
