About The Position

Kirtland Community College is currently seeking Part-Time Instructor(s) to teach Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) classes (RSLogix, LogixPro, MicroLogix, etc.). Applicants must be available for face-to-face instruction evening hours at our Gaylord campus location.

Requirements

Associates Degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology, Automation Technology, or related field.
Professional experience with RSLogix 500 software and MicroLogix controllers.
Related industry-recognized certifications or credentials.
Demonstrated ability to work skillfully with lab equipment
Computer skills, including the use of the internet, Microsoft Office products, email, etc.

Nice To Haves

Preferred teaching/training experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare for and instruct assigned courses through the use of appropriate learning experiences and materials which provide the opportunity to meet overall course objectives and program goals.
Support student learning by meeting college requirements in assessing student learning.
Establish and maintain a professional environment conducive to student learning.
Evaluate student progress through day-to-day evaluation, written examinations, and overall observation.
Provide students with feedback on progress on a timely basis.
Actively support student success through guidance, advising, and assisting individual students as needed.
Participate in professional activities including, but not limited to, curriculum planning, examination development, textbook selection, program evaluation/revision, and other professional planning activities.
Participate in Student End of Course Evaluation process.
Submission of grades according to college timelines.
Attend meetings as specified by contract.
Perform other duties as assigned.
