About The Position

Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery, equipment, and building systems by performing the following duties. Tests and diagnoses malfunctioning machinery, and reviews diagnosis for proper corrective action with other maintenance workers such as mechanics and supervisors. Develop and foster strong relationships with all maintenance department co-workers, outside contractors and vendors. Actively pursue and correct problems with electrical components and systems throughout the facility and grounds. Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of all facility, grounds, and industrial power and electrical systems (low and high voltage). Diagnose electric motor, motor control, and device control problems. Identify and order parts and materials from manufacturers manuals and prints. Producing product free of contamination, following all Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies, reporting any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant, and inspection of work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis are part of the food safety responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge and the ability to perform various duties in the following industrial control software: RS Linx, RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5 and RS Logix 5000.
  • Must have knowledge and the ability to perform various duties in the following industrial networking platforms: DeviceNet, ControlNet and Remote I/O.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain the following industrial networking platforms: DH+, DH485, DeviceNet, and Ethernet.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair sensors and solid state equipment.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
  • Ability to identify and order parts and materials from manufacturers manuals and prints.
  • Capable of communicating both oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving high levels of cognitive function and judgment.
  • Not mentally or physically impaired from any cause that can adversely affect ability to safely and competently perform the duties of the position.
