About The Position
The Department of Biological Sciences at Northeastern State University is seeking a full-time, 9-month Instructor and laboratory manager. This role involves contributing to the biology curriculum and managing laboratory operations. The position is expected to be available during the academic year and for one month during the summer, with additional pay for summer duties to be coordinated with the department chair.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in biology or related discipline
- A passion for biology education
- Ability to excel at teaching introductory biology courses
- Must provide an original social security card during the hiring process
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Responsibilities
- Teaching introductory courses and/or labs relevant to the candidate’s area of expertise (approximately 6 credit hours per semester)
- Preparing solutions and materials for laboratory courses
- Training and supervising student workers
- Coordinating repair and maintenance of instruments
- Ordering and receiving supplies and equipment
