About The Position

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join its Faculty team. Teaching assignments may include weekend, evening, and online. Applicants must currently hold unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States. Applications are being accepted for the Spring 2027 semester for the Faculty staff at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York. This is a Full Time Probationary position in the Department of Computer Sciences and Mathematics.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or in an appropriate related field to Mathematics from an accredited institution.
Other Master’s Degrees considered if at least 15 credits in graduate level Mathematics courses have been completed.
Previous teaching experience preferred.
Willingness and ability to teach a variety of courses at various levels of Mathematics.
Such experience may include, but is not limited to, an academic/scholarly track record focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion; work, volunteer/ unpaid/ community service; or related experience/ expertise in serving underserved or vulnerable areas and/or populations.
Daytime on-campus availability necessary - may include evening courses.
Must currently hold an unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.
Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction in Mathematics.
Evaluate student performance.
Participation on departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported.
At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
This role involves teaching courses that may be assigned at the HVCC main campus and/or the Malta campus.
