Requirements

  • Doctorate, or terminal degree in a specific content area. Education must be from an accredited institution. Education is verified.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing student support and instruction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse learner profiles.
  • Ability to work a student-friendly schedule (evenings/weekends).
  • Doctor of Healthcare Administration degree, but other closely related professional practice or Ph.D. degrees, such as public health, health information management, health services management, or another closely related field of study, will be granted full consideration. Degrees in other areas may be considered with recent significant managerial experience in health care management.
  • Separate qualifications and/or licensure may be required for some degree programs.
  • State and/or federal legislative requirements and/or college accreditation requirements may apply to maintain the necessary credentialing for this role.
  • Qualifications and/or licensure/certifications vary by degree programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with distance education and distance learning students is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops instructional materials, aligned with identified learning objectives, course competencies, and instructional interventions, to support both student self-service use and use in virtual one-to-many events.
  • Provides effective, relevant, and engaging one-to-many virtual events aligned with identified learning objectives.
  • Continually develops knowledge, skills, and expertise through active participation in faculty learning community and other developmental opportunities.
  • Provides proactive, relevant, timely, and effective one-to-one virtual instruction to students in a specific course or domain.
  • Facilitates student communities to support peer collaboration, effective faculty interaction, and student development.
  • Student-centered and provides effective one-to-one virtual coaching to help students achieve personal, academic, and career goals.
  • Adapts instructional and coaching practices to common and typical student needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
