About The Position

Brock University is seeking an Instructor for the course Interactive Media Prac, Prototyping & Prod Sec 1 and Sec 2 for the Fall/Winter 2026-2027 academic year. This position is within the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The course involves in-person instruction for two sections, one on Tuesdays from 14:00-18:00 and another on Fridays from 14:00-18:00, spanning September to April. Instructors teaching a 2-hour/week lecture equivalent are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course. The compensation for a half course is $7,887.59 and for a full course is $15,775.20, effective September 1, 2026. Duties include scheduled contact time with students, preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading, course administration, grade appeals, and handling cases of academic dishonesty, in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in interactive media, games, or a related discipline.
• Experience managing small to medium sized projects.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching.

• Industry experience in the interactive digital media industry will be considered an asset.
