About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a Part-Time Instructor for Health Information Technology for FY 2026. This role involves instructing students in introductory or advanced medical diagnosis and procedure coding (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT) and developing syllabi and course materials. The instructor will evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies and may teach day or evening classes, either on-campus or online. CSN is Nevada's largest college and one of the largest in the nation, operating in over 50 locations with 3 main campuses and multiple sites. Requirements

Current CCS or CCS-P credential OR RHIT or RHIA credential with recent 5 years inpatient and outpatient medical coding experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience with in-person instruction.
Proficiency in the use of on-line Learning Management Systems such as Canvas.

Responsibilities

Instruct short course in medical terminology in classroom and/or online
Develop syllabi and course materials in conjunction with Program Director
Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
Meet all classes at the time, place and length of time designated
