About The Position
The Electrical Instructor provides career technical training in accordance with approved curricula at Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield, Kentucky. The instructor provides training, basic guidance, and direction to help students achieve their technical training goals in compliance with government and management directives. The role is suited to an experienced electrician interested in teaching and mentoring students.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of related work experience.
- Certification, licensure, or accreditation in the state of employment from a professional trade organization.
- Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
- Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
- Motivate and counsel students regarding behavior, training, personal problems, and study habits.
- Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, and recommend curriculum changes and supplemental materials.
- Regularly review and audit assigned areas for contractual compliance and effective delivery of services to students, and prepare related reports.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe training environment.
- Participate in student assessment panels and complete required documentation and evaluations using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.
