About The Position

Instructors deliver educational materials using sound educational practices focused on each student’s academic development. They use the educational experience to develop knowledge and skills in the student’s chosen field and help students achieve their educational and career goals. Instructors create an engaging, dynamic, student-centered educational environment and provide support, tutoring, and other assistance as needed. Requirements

• Hold active certification or licensure where required.
• Have at least 5 years of industry experience within the last 10 years.
• Before beginning to teach, have documented prior teaching experience or complete the new instructor training.
• Qualify as an instructor under institutional and accreditation standards.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching in a proprietary education setting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry.

Responsibilities

• Use classroom and lab instruction, student assessment mechanisms, and classroom management techniques to provide students with an engaging educational experience.
• Ensure students are presented with the material needed to successfully meet the learning objectives of each course in their program of study.
• Ensure instructional materials and equipment are ready for student use, sufficient in quantity, properly maintained, and in working order.
• Participate in ongoing faculty assessment and professional development to maintain an active, engaged, and up-to-date classroom experience; maintain required certification and licensure.
• Participate in meetings, review and analyze assessment data, compile reports, and meet academic and administrative deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory guidelines and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
