The Department of Criminal Justice at Austin Peay State University is seeking an on-ground instructor for a three-year, renewable position starting July 30, 2027. This role involves approximately nine months of full-time service. The department offers bachelor's and master of science degrees in criminal justice, with an optional homeland security concentration, as well as a bachelor's degree in national security studies. The program serves about 400 undergraduate and 60 graduate students annually and utilizes diverse delivery methods including face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. The successful candidate must be able to teach in all modalities. The Department of Criminal Justice is experiencing rapid growth. Responsibilities include teaching assigned courses, advising students, and participating in university, community, and disciplinary service. Additional compensation may be available for summer teaching based on performance and availability.
